Last week, I made changes to my genius hour project. I was originally going to find a way to donate money to the JDRF. That plan failed, obviously. I wasn't going anywhere with that project.
Then I thought that my dad teaches diabetics. I asked him last Thursday if I could possibly teach a class, or help him teach a class. He said that was a great idea. That Friday, he asked his co-workers and they also said that my project was very thoughtful and that is was a great idea.
So, my dad is at the diabetic teaching classes every Friday. He still has to ask the bosses if it is okay. I can teach a class with two of his co-workers, or my dad. Either way is fine.
I am really excited about doing my project. Diabetes is really close to me and I want to teach others about the life long treatment.
