My Status Update Vladimir Caba 2\29\16

For my genius project I have been working on a really cool project well at least think its cool. I have already finished one of my projects with was making a lacrosse stick and learning haw to play lacrosse but the new project that I have been working on is really awesome. for my project I was learning how to levitate a magnet then I could get bigger and make levitating shoes. unfortunately I have not levitated a magnet yet and I will not be able to go bigger and make levitating shoes but I will still finish the levitating magnet part. Mr. Kizuka is providing me with some help and some information that I may need to start and he has also provided me with equipment he has been able to to gat me some magnets so I could start experimenting. What I know is that I will be needing to make a perfect square putting the other magnet to hover directly in the middle of the square that is my hypothesis.

Genius Update 2-29-16

My project is to propel a "rocket" with plasma. On Wednesday, I made a fuse with a cotton shirt, powder, and duct tape. Mr. Kizuka lit the fuse outside. It took a few seconds; however, it eventually lit. The fuse looked like a small road flare.

Conventions, Cosplay, Skits, and Help! Oh My!

Right now I have to put some cash aside for a cosplay convention because I have to save up for Allora's and my own costumes. So some of my items might look half baked. I am apologizing now because I might forget in the future. If you are wondering which convention. It is Zenkaikon X. I also have to put time into creating a skit for a masquerade ball. This means it will take longer for the books to be finished. We have to put time into practicing and memorizing our skit and that puts a strain on us because we also have to memorize and rehearse our Ted Talk many, many times. The reason we decided  to do this is... One, I wanted to take Allora with me this year and show her the stuff you can do. Two, I love to cosplay. I might even ask our teachers and Allora if Allora and I are allowed to dress up for the Genius Festival. Three, I really want to see what a ten year anime convention celebration looks like. Four, I would like to try new risk and try to create a skit using the two characters we are cosplaying as. Five, I won't lie. I kinda want to buy all the awesome anime stuff. 

I'm going into a little bit of detail about the convention and cosplay here so just skip to the third paragraph if you don't want to listen. For this convention we have to put money aside for the costumes or dresses, wigs (if needed), accessories, and shoes. We also spend A LOT of time working with makeup and messing with hair and wigs to perfection. We have to prerecord the skit with any audiology needed. We must rehearse movement of skits so many times. We will be ready once we can move to the exact point.

This will take a slight, but noticeable strain on our work, but not our studies. We will work with what time we have and we will not let the convention affect our grades. I know this post is a bit off topic from my usual all making anime stuff things, but I just wanted to explain what else is happening and if it seems like we stopped making stuff. 

By the way I wanted to ask if you are interested in coming to the convention with us. You would need to buy your own ticket and let me know by March 4th. I ask because I can help with the costume and give you a part in the skit if you want one. I ask this because 2 people isn't enough for what I have in mind. New Starts, Restarts, Finishes, and..... Books?!?

I finally finished my Rainbow Loom characters. If you ask me what character I have I will give you a list of like 99 places. So don't ask. I will be working on the Hetalia PoP! characters and Russia's sink pipe as soon as possible. My goal is to finish one PoP! and Russia pipe. I will work on the PoP! as soon as they come. They aren't sold in stores so you have to buy them online, so that really hurts my plans. I will make the pipe when I go to Home Depot. I have to restart the blade of Soul because the original one had so many problems. First is that the design was sloppy and I didn't put much thought into it. Second is that they blade could bend and that is not supposed to happen. Third is that I had to spend more money on buying duct tape so that the foam wouldn't melt when I spray painted it. Fourth thing is that the paint job was also sloppy and it just peeled off the duct tape. The fifth and final thing is that the blade itself snapped in half. New starts= World flags. I am now making every countries flag. I mean everyone. Restarts=Soul. I am really sad and happy that I get to restart his blade. Finishes=Hetalia Rainbow Loom Hetalia figurines. Finally!
To fix Soul I have asked my dad to look for a material that wont melt and spray paint will show up on. I will also buy red paint and a detail paintbrush to fix up any rough edges. I get to redo him which means a better product.  As soon as I get the PoP they go straight into production. I will go with my dad to Home Depot on Wednesday after school to get the PVC pipe I need so I will have that done by the end of the week.
I have been working on the Hetalia Character Description book. I have 9 out of 105 character descriptions. They take me about 15 to twenty minutes for just 1 description. This will take me somewhere between 50 and 75 days. (Which is 7 to 10 weeks. 2 to 3 months.) Allora is making the drawings and that could take just as long. We might not have a final version of either book. Either book? We are making two books. Hetalia character description and Pokemon fusions. Also Allora and I collaborated to work together on one Genius Hour Project. We also have a way to end our blog posts. I have a lot of secrets that I have hidden. I still have more.
Moving on to the Pokemon book. Allora has been making Pokemon fusions and I will take them make a name, attacks, and all the other Pokemon stuff. On the Hetalia book they have official country name, human name, official language(s), national flower, birthday, appearance, hobbies, personality, relationships, and flag meaning. The characters I have done are (In order) North Italy, Germany, Japan, America, UK/England/Britain, France, China, Russia, Austria, Spain, and Portugal. I got home later tonight so I couldn't do as many. I also have to go to my mom's house which means I can't work on them. Have Fun! ~GirlieGamerGirls02

Paper Boat

I am waiting for a response to the acting school I would like to tour. As I'm waiting, I'm doing another project which involves me only drinking water for a week. As far as I am into my week, (3 days) I have decided I will never do this again. I am also doing another project where I will make an origami boat out of paper and cover it in wax. I will then take it into the pool area of the school, get in the boat, and try to row across the pool in the boat. I am now gathering supplies for my boat.

Graphic Novel

I have only one more thing to finish until the graphic novel section is ready and that the poster. There is a little black bookshelf over near the classroom and the poster will be hanging right above the bookshelf.

Today I have been working really hard. It has been rough trying to collect so many 2 litter soda bottles. So far I have collected 10 bottles, and took the rappers off the bottle to save them for the roof of the house.Once I have finished the house, I will be collecting soda cans and smaller soda bottles to use for decoration and things you would find in a normal house but change it to soda bottle replica of the things you would find. If you want to help that would be very much appreciated.

Air Alert! Air Alert!

After completing two and a half weeks of air alert, my vertical has increased by about 4 1/2 or 5 inches. I have  noticed that the workouts are getting easier. I hope to keep increasing my vertical as I keep training.

For my G40 project am writing a book bass of a movie i saw when i was younger. I have been having writer block but i am happy with my book so far. I hope to have at last half it done when we have our parents come and see what we  have done. I will try to finish my first chapter

I've been working on my song for a little over a week and I still don't have a title for it. I have most of the lyrics and a bunch of the notes. I need to get an app for my phone so I can listen to the notes as I write them down. Until my parents say it is okay for me to bring my ukulele to school, that is the best I'm going to get. Week two on my drifting trike I got all i need listed on a chart.  Now all i need to do is to build it.  I got a welder so I an attach the frame together. After that's done i am putting the wheels on  then the motor.

What I Am Doing Over The Week:

I am working on Aron, the Pyramid. (No Illuminati jokes in the comments please.) If you don't remember, he has the most health of all of the characters that will join you on your quest, and he is also the weakest in attack points. He carries a sharp stick and his color is green. I will be mainly focusing on Aron for this week.

What I Have Finished:

I have finished adding ice to water when you cross a frozen-over lake, I have also finished a new enemy. This new enemy is a limo zine, It packs a punch and has a lot of health. If you encounter one of these guys, be sure to run from it. 

Conclusion:

 I am working hard on Aron the Pyramid to program him to perfection. I want his personality to make him feel real like all of the other characters I worked on so far. I want my work to feel like my own my own little reality that I created. Thank you for reading all of my blogs, I worked hard on.

Megan's Katy Perry Biography

For my project, I am creating a Katy Perry biography. At the moment, I have finished writing the biography.I'm just waiting for it to be bound together. In the mean time, I am making some things to go along with the biography, like a poster and a drawing. I hope to have my whole project done by the beginning of March. After I finish the project, I'm going to write up and rehearse my TED Talk for Genius night.

Reinforced Cardboard Sword :D

I have found the stuff i need i need to go to the store to get the stuff the reinforced cardboard is hard to get and building it can be tricky cause i am not good at drawing perfectly but i will get it done the reason i want to make this is so that i can make a real one in the future i am hoping to have it done by next week :D!

I finished my g40 project now i have to work on pictures or a movie trailer. I set up a Graphic novel section up in the back of the library near the laptops.

Tanner's Crossbow

                   So far I have made the bow for the crossbow out of 1/2 inch PVC pipe. I cut the piece of PVC into a 4 foot section and attached a piece of para cord for the string. Next I want to start designing the stock for the crossbow.

For my Super Bowl Project I am now on the 30th super bowl and I finished 35 slides. Also the hand book I am ready to print first two pages.

So far the LGBT project is going very well, since it seems I have extra time, I am going to write a short story, the story will be about a love triangle between a bisexual man (attracted to females and males) and another man, and a woman, little does he know there is an incredibly big twist.

Rainbow Loom and What it's All About

I had a a question about what a Rainbow Loom character looks like so I am dedicating this blog post to what a Rainbow Loom character is and looks like. Also about other Rainbow Loom stuff. A Rainbow  Loom figurine is made on a Rainbow Loom branded loom. (Picture 1). I make characters out of rubber bands that can fit around the size of the average adult finger. I follow a simple Rainbow Loom character base, but I change it to fit the desired needs for the specific character. When the character comes off the loom it can look like it has back, leg, or even neck problems. That is just a defect with using a loom. The character bends and the way you take it off also affects the final result. I have used some past characters I have made as an example. I've made Hungary and Austria. (Picture 2). Cyprus, New Zealand, and Liechtenstein. (Picture 3). Monaco, Seychelles, and the Principality, of WY. (Picture 4). Russia, Female Germany, and Female North Italy. (Picture 5). If you are wondering why there is a doll in the last picture. No I am not trying to spam you. That is the "other stuff" from earlier. I might make bags, toys, and plushies for them. Also the doll is 21 1/4 in.

Genius Update 2-18-16

My project is to propel an object using plasma. My solid rocket fuel did not ignite when it was exposed to the flame from lit alcohol. I will try to use a fuse (maybe homemade).

What was that? Then I heard it again...a faint scuffling sound from the attic above me.  I was the only person locked inside the mansion for the night. So who...or what is making that sound?  Gradually, the sounds became progressively louder...footsteps pacing back and forth...back and forth. My heart started racing and panic set in. What am I going to do?  Dragging sounds and thumps added to my building terror. What's going on up there? 

And then the unimaginable happened. The attic door creaked open and I heard slow footsteps coming down the stairs. Step. Step. Step. Closer to my door. Frantically looking at the locks on my door, I felt relief course through my trembling body as I confirmed the chain and deadbolt were in place. But it didn't stop my horror when I saw the shadows of feet underneath my door. I wanted to scream...yell for help...but nothing came out. Too terrified to scream, I heard something...a faint scratch on the door. Scratch. Scratch...louder and louder. Whatever was outside my door wanted in! One hard KNOCK startled me to action...

Why we have dreams/nightmares

For my genius hour project I am researching why we have dreams and nightmares. I am also going to talk about what our dreams and nightmares mean, why they are caused. I plan to make a presentation showing what I have researched. I am also looking for a way to show how dreams and nightmares  affect our sleep.

Genius Hour Drum Solo

Hello folks, my name is Reinhold Louis and I am a seventh grader of Schuylkill Valley Middle School. I am currently trying to perform a very hard drum solo with some interesting concepts to it. It was a piece of music that was supposed to be for the Junior County Band Auditions, but I am not prepared for that level of expertise. Even though most people wouldn't think twice about it once the auditions already passed, said concepts are ones that will be incorporated next year, along with more. So, I am currently getting myself ready for the years to come, basically.

Thinking, then writing. Some more thinking and some more writing. Those two things is all I've been doing the past months. I know I have only blogged once and I'm sorry for that. Its just that I've been having trouble with all this hassle about this Genius project. But after all these months I finally know and figured out what I'm going to write about.

I have been OBSESSED and always will be with the spirit realm. I am talking about ghosts folks. You people might be asking your self "what does this have to do with anything?" It has a lot to do with everything. Now I'm going to tell you a little story about how my book I'm writing started....

It all started at the beginning of 2016. My family and I took a drive to my grand moms, like we always do on Saturdays. So, I can't really remember how the conversation started but, we talked about Pennhurst. For anyone that doesn't know Pennhurst is a abandoned hospital that's been claimed haunted. My grand mom worked there before it was suppose to close down. The reason it closed down though was because people that worked there abused the patients who lived in Pennhurst. Now my grand mom didn't abuse anyone. She's not like that, although she did say she smacked someone. Back on topic, while talking about Pennhurst I thought to write a book about it.

That's how my book called The Fear Inside Us came to be and that's my genius book. Now i wish to write more but times up. I will blog you next week, Bye.

The Disaster

Recently, I dislocated my knee cap at a cheer competition. The competition was at Schuylkill Valley High school. I dislocated my knee cap on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Since I dislocated my knee, I am on crutches. I got a MRI on Tuesday, February 9. On Friday February 12, 2016 I found out that I didn't pull anything and I need to get physical therapy for a month and then I will see if i need to keep going. My current brace is shown below


.

Cleaning things up

Today Daniel and I didn't get to much done but, we did clean up the animation a little. Next week we plan to get round three done.

Cody Christ Reinforced Cardboard sword

I am changing my project to a reinforced cardboard sword so that it is durable i will be getting the stuff needed such as spray paint reinforced cardboard and wood glue so that it can be durable and not break so easily i will be getting the stuff this weekend so that i would have it done in a while? :D

Uh Oh and Woo Hoo (*o*)

          Yesterday I finished Pumpkin and I need to drop by my dad's house to pick up soul so I can finish him. I also need to paint Pumpkin and I will need to paint Soul as well. I don't have any progress on Papi, Suu, Russia's sink pipe, and all nine of my Hetalia PoP! I still need to buy the PVC pipe, work on building another hammer, find nine D.I.Y. PoP!, more white and black paint, and I don't have the money to do so. I used up most of my cash to make soul and I can't get my allowance until my sister finishes her chores. (Like I said in the previous post). When I was spray painting Soul I noticed that the alcohol in the spray paint melted the type of foam I was using at the time. I need to remake the one piece and reattach it.I worked on duct taping the entire front of the foam side of Soul.
           Over the weekend and the time we had off I finished spray painting Pumpkin. I just need to add some shading and other minor details with some gray paint. I finished half of Soul's blade. I also need to attach the blade to the staff. Tonight I will be heading to Wal*mart to buy a couple of PoP! to create a prototype to see how I want to make my custom Hetalia PoP! I lost my phone and iPad so I have to halt the progress on my Hetalia Rainbow Loom figurines. I had 18 left. I also might sell little clay figurines made out of Sago Brothers Clay. (Also Hetalia). Some time this week or over the weekend I will head to Home Depot to buy the PVC pipe I need for Russia's sink pipe.

Update on my Genius Hour project- Jillian Phillips

I am currently still working on my clothing donation going toward a soon to be decided charity. I have started a new project because my first project was a valentines day project and obviously Valentines Day has passed so its time for a new project. For my new project, i will be making a bullying pamphlet for people who are a victim of bullying or is a bully. This will also help anyone one is dealing with depression or self harm.

I guess I should explain my game a little bit...but just enough not to spoil anything!

HA5...In A Nutshell

You will be this blue ghost, jumping and shooting at enemies. You need to kill all enemies one way or another to complete each level. The enemies also attempt to shoot at you! This sounds easy, but each level can be long! All of the levels will have some puzzles for coins, lives, health, and many different power ups. You use coins to buy power ups. Sometimes it may be tricky to find your way to the end. There are 10 main levels, a mini boss, a main boss, and an expert level. This may sound like a short game, but it takes a decent amount of time to complete a level.

Golf Cart

What I am doing is remodeling a golf cart. I learned how to take wheels off and put new wheels on. I also put the lift kit on.  I still need to put a radio, lights, steering wheel and paint the golf cart. The steering wheel and the lights came on Wednesday.

Anthony's project

 I've been working on the skateboard finishing it and putting a clear coat on it next I will be working on a snowboard and repairing it  I will be doing a new paint job with my air brush.   I've been working with Mr. Kizuka Parker and  Quentin a little   Can't wait for the finished project

Hello again! Welcome back to my weekly video game blog! If you are wondering about the title font, I made it like that so it could attract new comers to come and see my work that I have done. So, here we go into another adventure of blog.

What I Am Working On:

I am still working on names, Aron is a definite name for the Triangle, The Octagon? I am still working on it, yes it, I am deciding on the gender. I am going to make more characters and such like the Motorbike and the ATV which you can find on Dirt Roads or Mountain Terrains. These N.P.Cs will be enemy's like the Cars that I am working on. I am working on a normal car which is called Car 1#, Nice name right? 

What I Got Done:

I finished naming the Triangle and his name is Aron. Here are some facts, He will be the second character that you'll meet in the game, he is very strong, he is poor and homeless, and he wears carries a sharpened stick. I am making his health high, but his attack low, so the enemy's have a chance against you.

Conclusion:

I will be naming more characters in the end, I am out of my "naming crisis" (thank god that was a horrible time!) which I could not come up for a name for Aron, and I am now drawing the title of the game in MS. Paint, but in pixels to make it look like it wasn't made in MS. Paint. You guys are the only people who know about my MS. Paint title and I am not embarrassed about it, It is working very well for me and the reason why I am using MS. Paint is because it was the only thing I had at the time. There are many different ways to reload shot shells with black powder. There are also a couple different shells that can be used and I am going to experiment witch way they work better.

Programming with Python

During today's G40, I hope to take notes and right down what I need to program. When I get home I am going to put that writing into the proper software and start on my project.

I am just finishing up the first sheet of my new folder and it is all on the History of Chincoteauge & Assuteauge island. You guys need to tell me what to work on next it can range from horse memory to horse care exc.......Let me know soon

G40 (Superbowl Handbook and slideshow)

Now on my G40 project I am on super bowl 25 on the slideshow and I did not start the handbook yet. The slideshow has 53 slides for the intro, super bowls, leader board, conclusion. Also my handbook will hopefully have 53-60 pages.

Slingshot update

So I have got my wood to redo the slingshot I am working on a new pattern and after that I will have to glue that wood together so I can start were I left off.

Genius Update 2-12-16

My project is to propel a rocket with plasma. On Wednesday, I mixed ground potassium nitrate (KNO3), ground sulfur (S), and ground charcoal. This makes gunpowder. Today, I tried to turn the powder into a paste. I tried using water. The water thickened the powder but didn't transform it into a paste. Next Wednesday, I will try to use acetone, nail polish remover.

Final Animation

Started on final animation with Daniel, me and Daniel are doing a Mortal Kombat like fighting thing with Legos. We have two rounds done so far, there are going to be eight rounds total I believe

For my genius hour project I am making a gaming/editing setup for my project. If ant of you are wondering what a gaming/editing setup is, it consist of 2 or more monitors. A PC with at least 6 GB of ram meaning 6000mb of ram. Ram is the part of your PC that renders all of the display on your screen and all of your games. Next you will need need a graphics card of at least 1GB of ram. And whatever CPU. The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the part of a computer system that is commonly referred to as the "brains" of a computer. I am already finished with building my PC. That is not all though of a PC. I will explain much more in a different blog.

How to Be a Cop!

For my genius hour project I did How to Be a Cop. So in my project I made a poster, researched, looked through books and more. In my project I learned a little more then I already knew. but in the end was a awesome project!

Mobile Gaming - Darius Rahmanian

Apple just came out with an application that lets you mirror what you do on your phone or Apple device called Airserver. For those who don't know what this does it lets you see what ever you do on your phone or other device on your computer for free. So you don't  have to pay loads of money for an Elgato game capture. Now I can start recording but am still debating to put them on YouTube.    

Stopping Production? (*O*)

I am in the midst of making Pumpkin and I have had to put Soul on hold until I can get more duct tape to protect the foam. What happen and why I need to put Soul on hold is because the foam I bought and the alcohol in the spray paint melted the foam, I tested it out on the little bit so I just have to remake that. That's why Soul is on hold because I do not have enough duct tape to cover the entire one side of Soul. Pumpkin is coming along nicely and I have the entire back half of it made and all I have to do is make it over the weekend and spray paint it. I will also have to run back to my dad's house to get soul and about nine of my Rainbow Loom countries because I was in a rush and my dad seemed kind of ticked off so I lessened my load. All I have to make are now only 25 countries and they are all the gender bender. Thank Goodness! If you don't know what gender bender is I'll explain it. It is when a guy or girl dresses up like or turns into the opposite gender. It is not when a girl switches bodies with a guy. It is completely different.
I can not make the Hetalia Pop! until I can find the D.I.Y. Pop! for the base. I am also worrying money wise because I don't have the biggest allowance and I have to wait for my sister to finish her chores so I can get mine. So that means I might have to put production on hold. By the way I will also explain what Hetalia means Hetalia is a Japanese word that combines the words Hetare and Italia. Hetare means useless and Italia obviously means Italy so... Hetalia means useless Italy. I also still have to make Russia's sink pipe. Fun right? Not! (*o*)

EV-Baseball Bat-2

This week I have worked on trying to find out where I'm going to get my wood for my baseball bat. Right now I'm trying to get the measurements for my baseball bat so I can start working on it. After I get the measurements I'm going to get the supplies for the bat.

Graphic Novel

For G 40 I am helping Miss.Becker  with a graphic novel section with so it is easier for people who like graphic novels to find. There will be some announcements for it and there will be a poster that we are planning to put it up when it is all finished. The graphic novel section will be over where the newspapers  were,I think that's where she said it was. The announcements should be here soon and posters will be set up in the library. 

Kettlebell Curiosity

I've unfortunately decided to change my Genius Hour project from making a meat smoker to passing the StrongFirst kettlebell certification test.  The recent studies linking cancer to eating smoked meats is to blame as I look to become healthier before my wedding.

To the right is a kettlebell.  This is one of the greatest, most efficient exercise tools in human history.  It was first pioneered by Russian farmers and continued to grow in popularity through the centuries.  It wasn't until the late 1990's that this tool rose in popularity in the United States.

I love using kettlebells because they are efficient, challenging, and I don't need to use a lot of weight to get a tough workout.  My love for the kettlebell has led me to want to gain certification in kettlebell instruction from Strong First.  This certification includes both written and physical portions.  The biggest challenge for me will likely be completing 100 kettlebell snatches in five minutes or less!  The kettlebell must be a 24 KG kettlebell.  I feel like I might need a bucket to complete this training!  Below is a video demonstrating the KB snatch for anyone who is unfamiliar with it.

My genius hour project did not take shape until about December of this year.  I had been in the market for about a year and a half for a home that I would purchase.  You see I'm kind of picky if you haven't figured that out yet.  I'm not the kind of guy that can buy a house in a subdivision that has a quarter acre, a white picket fence, and a pool in the back yard.  That's too "cookie cutter" for me.  First and foremost, I need some land... 5 acres minimum.  If I cant put up a tree stand in my yard and at least archery hunt, I'm  out.  Secondly, the house needs to be unique... and preferably old.  Lastly, and this is why it took me 2 years to find the house I would purchase, it needed to be CHEAP!  I'm a teacher, so i'm poor... you're welcome.

Anyway, I would search for houses constantly.  What i was looking for was so unique that I would literally find about one a month that I would consider buying.  Most of them were way too expensive, a couple i lost from other offers being higher than mine.  There were probably about 4 times in the last year that I thought to myself "this is it, I'm going to live here".   Well it never worked out and I was getting sick of paying rent.

So finally I found a place.  Not the ideal location, not the ideal lot (though it did cover the 5 acre minimum), not the ideal style of house.  Why would I buy this place if it wasn't ideal in any way?  You got it, it covered my third and most important characteristic.  It was CHEAP... and I mean like really cheap.  Only problem with this is that the old saying "you get what you pay for" is true.  This place needed work, a lot of work.  It is almost a complete "gut job", meaning all of the drywall, ceiling, flooring, plaster, cabinetry, bathroom fixtures... EVERYTHING needed to be replaced.  Did I mention it was cheap?  So my genius hour project is to take this mess of a house and turn it into something I could live in... for a while... and then sell for a hefty profit.

Update: 2/15 - Well I have owned the house for a month now.  So far, I have replaced boards on the exterior of the addition that were rotted.  The house had a porch and deck that were in rough shape, so I tore that off.  On the inside, we have the furnace and fireplace in working order.  I have stripped the drywall and plaster off of nearly every wall in the house.  I have framed new closets and rearranged some walls.  The roof is being replaced (thanks to Abbey White's father) as we speak.  I have to replace the 2 main beams of the house, and rewire and add some electric.  Then I will be ready for drywall.  Move in date has been set for April 20th, so I will have a busy 2 months ahead of me.  Pictures will come soon!

"The Inn by the Sea: A Ghost Story"

For my project, I'm going to write a fictional ghost story based on my personal experiences staying at a "haunted" bed & breakfast. I stayed at an inn called Peter Shields, a Georgian mansion by the ocean in Cape May, NJ. I first heard of it on a TV show that features haunted places so I knew I had to go there.  I plan to do the following:

• Visit the inn twice this year
• Research ghosts
• Read as many ghost stories & watch as many shows for inspiration
• Read a story based on the inn from Cape May Ghost Stories
• Plan an outline/ plot graph
• Draft the story
• Share my personal experiences
• Embellish my experiences so the story is more terrifying
• Hope to work on it in March when I stay there for inspiration
• Post pictures of the inn
• Post a brief description of the story

Progress

This week I will be heading back to Micheal's to get more foam and I will find my big box for the card board. I will also buy more duct tape. I'm about half way done with Soul and then I will get moving right away with Pumpkin. I worked on my script and my presentation for the genius fair in May. I also spray painted the thing in the second picture  and the staff silver. The blade I will do in ten minutes.Right now I am waiting for the two pieces to dry while I make Mine's Pumpkin (Bottom Picture).

Today I was working on measuring the school doors and seeing how tall a 2 liter coke bottle was. The school doors are 81 feet tall and roughly 2 and a half in width. A 2 liter coke bottle is 1 inch tall and 4 inches in width. I have been collecting the empty bottles. And for people that are reading this if you have any empty soda bottles please give them to me. It would be a lot easy if we came together and help me get this project done. Please bring them to me empty and not bent. Also you could rinse them out but if you don't, it is no big deal I will anyways. Please help finish my project  thank you.

Not A Rip Off Of Custom Inc Episode #2

    Welcome Back Students and teachers and other creeps that are reading this! This is my second post on my project.All I have done so far is make some more T-Shirts and worked on my slide show and Blah Blah Blah, BUT that is the BORING stuff. The interesting thing is that by the time I am in high school I will have An official web site for my business! So all you stalkers can go to my web site and order one for your self! GTRL Bracelets for St. Jude

Reagan Lisa and I will be making a bracelet out of plastic. They will have color of choice, and a cool design. They will be offered in adjustable size due the Velcro. 50% of the earnings we will make will be donated to St. Jude Hospital . P.S. every bracelet will have St. Jude on it to know your a proud donater.

My original plan was to write a comic, but I figured that would take way too long. I would need to buy markers and a program on the computer to do digital drawings. So now, I have decided to write and compose an original song on my Makala ukulele. So far I only have a few chords written down and I have a little bit of tune going, but other than that I don't have much progress.

What I am making a is a motorized drifting trike. What it is you may be asking. It is a custom trike that is meant for drifting and the best part is it has a motor attach to it! But it going to take time and lots of money but its going to be worth. I hope.

Brice Dornblaser Post 03 - The Restart

Today I have decided to change the course of my project.
Reason
I have created 4 different games that are related, what I call the "Hero Adventure" series. I also have started the 5th game. This is my new G40 project.
G40 Restart
I started making this game about a year ago, but I stopped. I lost interest. For my new and improved G40 project, I not only want to finish making Hero Adventure 5 (that is its beta name BTW), I want to make it better than it was planned to be. At the G40 Night, I will be presenting a demo version of this game, while possibly giving out copies for free. I will not be showing the other four games for various reasons, so they will not be available. I will not publish this game.
Conclusion
I hope this will be for the better, and will lead to success. I feel like people will enjoy this game more than my other discarded game.

So far I've started my blog and got it laid out. I've made 3 posts and have finished plenty of books to make more posts about. I plan on finishing 2 or 3 more posts today.

I changed my G40 project to a power point of all the super bowls that have ever been played and a description of every single one. Right now I am on Super Bowl 20. 30 more to go!!!

Curving a Soccer Ball

At this point I am in the middle of learning how to curve a soccer ball around a defender. The reason why I am learning this is because I have always wanted to know how to cure a soccer ball and it can be very useful on the field. Say for instance that you get fouled in a game and you get a free kick. There will probably be a defender or two in front of you so you will want to be able to get the ball around them and still get it on frame. Another time you could use it is when you take a corner kick.  Last Tuesday I had a soccer game and I ended up having to take a corner kick. If you aren't familiar with soccer you take a corner kick right in line with the goal post so if you kick it straight then you will it the post. Since I had already watched a few videos on curving a soccer ball I thought that I should give it a shot. I lined up the way I learned ad I took the shot and it curved! The ball did not go in but it was still awesome because I finally could curve a soccer ball. I am still not perfect at it so I am still watching some videos.

Look  at thickness Which equals about two and a half inches.
Right now mine is  about one to one and a half  inches.

I think that  I ran into a problem  I was redesigning my slingshot when I looked  at the diameter of  the wood that I have already glued together,  When I realized that I believe it is too thin.
This is an example of  what  I want it too look like. So I think  that I have to re cut and glue more wood. I might be able to just glue a layer  on the side yet, I hope.

Soul Eater

This week I've been working on a scythe from a show called Soul Eater. The character name is

Soul

Soul and he works with his meister Maka. What I've used for this Is a 3 ft x 1 ft x 1/2 in piece of foam. Two 3 ft x 1 in wooden rods. A 30 in x 20 in x 10 in box of card board. A shiny red spray paint,  shiny black spray paint, and a metallic silver paint. So far I have the red and black blade of the scythe done, but I can not paint it because of the weather and spray paint leaves a horrible smelling gas inside of your house. I have asked my dad if he could go to Home Depot to get a screw to attach the two wooden rods together.

Graphic Novels

I'm working on a graphic novel section for the library. So far I found a lot of graphic novels. Now I'm working on a poster to hang up in the library.

The Tournament (First Day)

Going off the test animation, me and my partner are starting a tournament bracket between 8 different competitors. The first battle of the video to be made has been completed.
